Nicole Kidman was in New York last night for an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I’ve embedded the videos below from her interview – she is cute and adorably awkward and both serious and unserious and also more relaxed, I think, than I’ve seen her in these settings in the past… although I feel like there were some really weird edits to the conversation, at least that’s how it looks in the YouTube version. 

 

Also, she looks amazing. The hair is great, that f-cking suit is impeccable. And while out on the street making her exit, she playfully opened up the jacket to reveal her t-shirt underneath (which she changed into likely after taping).

Nicole would very much like us to go see her erotic thriller, in which she performs a wide range of orgasms, on Christmas Day. Yes, ma’am, I think I will. And thank you for your service, this is exactly what I want for Christmas. It’ll be a matinee for me, just before I come home to start cooking for my parents, LOL, so I need that body buzz. 

 

To go back to Nicole’s outfit though – the work of Jason Bolden, her stylist, and it’s a good time to revisit when I wrote about their partnership back in March of this year when The Hollywood Reporter published its most recent Power Stylists list. At the time, Jason called it a “very new relationship” and I said then that “I can’t wait to see how this partnership evolves and the looks they’ll be producing”. 

Well, we have seen. And it’s been total slayage. Nicole Kidman + Jason Bolden has been a major celebrity-stylist win. And now they’re heading into their first award season together! These two will be serving gag after gag come January. For Jason, though, it’ll be double gag because he also works with Cynthia Erivo, currently a frontrunner for a Best Actress Oscar nomination. Coming out of award season, then, he just might top the 2025 Power Stylist list himself. 

 

And by the way, there was or is a world in which he could be repping THREE of the Best Actress Oscar nominees because, remember, before Jason started collaborating with Nicole, he actually styled Angelina Jolie on The Eternals press tour, her most stylish press tour to date. That partnership did not continue but, like, Angie, baby, please consider revisiting that chat. 

Finally, I haven’t yet been able to make my way through Variety’s Actors on Actors series but I just posted about Zendaya and this post is about Nicole and they were paired for the feature. There are many reasons why these two are compatible – one of those reasons? Height! 

 

I think Nicole’s got an inch or two on Z but it’s close and it’s not often that she stands next to another woman and doesn’t tower over her. The height matching is sexy AF.
