The Street Fighter hype has completely missed me until today. I was never into the video game beyond having to listen to my friends talk about it so it makes sense that the movie hasn’t infiltrated my algorithm and that I’ve been barely aware that it’s about to come out. So when I saw new photos of Noah Centineo in New York today making the talk show rounds, I was like… what’s he promoting?

Noah is playing Ken Masters in the Street Fighter movie which opens on October 16, which is hilarious to me because I opened the site today with Sense and Sensibility, opening on the same day. That is the door I will be walking into, LOL, but I respect that there is probably a very active audience for Street Fighter that would not be f-cking with Austen at all.

As you can see, Noah’s been doing the action movie thing for at least five years now with Black Adam and he was originally supposed to play He-Man until that movie fell apart in development when he was attached to it. Street Fighter is an extension of that career direction so he’s well past his teen boy Peter Kavinsky image – can you believe it’s been eight years since To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before came out?! Back then I couldn't imagine that Peter might grow up to the be Rick and Evelyn O’Connell’s son in The Mummy but now, like the rest of the internet, I could totally see it.

The Mummy 4, with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz returning to reprise their roles, is currently in production. The last time they played these characters they had a young son. So the assumption is that the new movie will feature an adult son, but no casting details have been confirmed – if, that is, Alex O’Connell even has a part in the story. And it likely won’t be Noah, but it should be! Look at him, especially in this photo!

What else happened today…

Florence Pugh is stunning in this black dress but for me it’s the hairstyle, I love this updo on her with, I think, fake bangs. (Go Fug Yourself)

Glenn Close reveals the reason she hasn’t seen a lot of movies – and it’s a surprise to me, I had no idea. I do think, however, that more people should see more of her movies. I rewatch her in Dangerous Liaisons at least once a year. (Pajiba)

Just wanted to make sure, for the people who spend all their time yelling about Meghan Sussex and her jams, that Andrew, the disgraced brother of the king of England, associated with the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, is living a very comfortable life. (Celebitchy)

A trailer for season two of All’s Fair, starring Kim Kardashian, dropped today. The show is trash but they do know how to cut a trailer and I can’t hate on Sarah Paulson who is straight up masticating the sh-t out of that insane dialogue. (Autostraddle)

In today’s lexicon, the kids would say that back in the day, Michael Douglas had a “roster”. Which he says he gave up so that he could be with Catherine Zeta-Jones. (People)
