What Else?
Prince Harry participated in an upcoming documentary about the tabloids and all the f-cksh-t they’ve tried to get away with over the years, including phone hacking. He’s agreed to be interviewed on camera to tell the tabloids about themselves and, no doubt, when the clips are released, everyone will be watching and commenting and sharing. (Celebitchy)
More set photos of And Just Like That and here are new shots of Kristin Davis and Sarah Jessica Parker in character as Charlotte and Carrie respectively. SJP is wearing a hat, but I guarantee none of you will care about that because Kristin’s dress is the main character. Pretty confident many or most of you clicking on this link will be only looking at that dress and looking FOR that dress. (GoFugYourself)
I saw this headline at Vox, “Why are so many female popstars flopping” and, um, I thought it was about Katy Perry. It’s not about Katy Perry, she’s barely mentioned, but it is about music over the last year and why the charts don’t necessarily reflect what people are listening to. Or… they reflect what some people are listening to but not others? But there’s also a discussion here about the pressure on female pop stars to challenge themselves and reinvent. And why it works for some but not others. I don’t agree with every point but there’s a lot to think about here when it comes to who drives pop and whether or not those people are properly valued. Like, for me, personally? Pop can survive without male artists but it’s dead without women. (Vox)
Sarah has consistently dunked on Warner Bros CEO David Zaslav here at LaineyGossip and while I have read all her posts about him, I have somehow managed to avoid looking at photos of him or at least letting photos of him take hold in my brain. This Pajiba photo of him, however, for some reason, is punching me in the face. Now I can’t forget. That he looks like such a f-cking douchebag, and he is a douchebag and it’s no surprise who he’s voting for. (Pajiba)
For the last decade or maybe more, what Drake does very well is social media. Whether you f-ck with him or not, you cannot deny that he’s great at becoming a meme, understanding what trends, and has, up until recently, been able to create moments that feel organic even when they’re not from Twitter to Twitch to TikTok. And this, ironically, as Wongo Okon writes, seems to be how Kendrick Lamar just beat him at his own game. (Uproxx)
