Meghan Sussex dropped a bunch of content for Lilibet’s fourth birthday, including a pretty intimate maternity ward dance party. I’ve already seen a headline calling this a “rare” – it’s the seventh grid photo in two months.
Another day, another PEOPLE “exclusive” on Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham. This time it’s about David’s 50th, which they declined to attend because Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull would be there. This is not a new story nor is it an exclusive; I wrote about it weeks ago and I’m slow as f-ck. As noted in the story, Cruz has commented on Instagram that Brooklyn and Kim did not actually date (they would have been teens); it seems like they were in the same London social circle and she possibly dated a friend of his and vice versa. I think the Peltz-Beckham sources are really trying appeal to the TikTok therapy crowd; exes are never to be spoken to again, and boundaries are unbending. But being so pressed about one of Romeo’s ex-whatevers makes them seem super pressed and insecure. If you are SO in love and so secure and so aligned, why is such a minor relationship such a big deal?
The one to watch in all this is Cruz who seems absolutely fed up and has been indirectly addressing it on Instagram. Do not mess with a 20-year-old who has grown up online, they know things we don’t.
I love Thom Browne and I love Leighton Meester in Thom Browne. I constantly browse the brand’s website and want a lot of his pieces but most of all, I want the pencil set. It’s very hard to find.
Cynthia Erivo is prepping for a second round of Wicked promo and before that the Tony Awards but I’m here to talk about her Poker Face episode. Have you watched? So far it’s my favourite of the season. She’s so great in it and I don’t want to give anything away so I won’t say much more. I jumped into Poker Face in the second season after a friend recommended the Katie Holmes/Giancarlo Esposito episode and if you are looking for a low-stakes show that doesn’t require deep dives and character charts, this is the show to binge. Each episode is a different mystery in a different place with a ton of unexpected guest stars. It’s just good. Highly recommend.
