RiRi and Rocki: Stripes and Hearts

Rihanna stepped out last night for dinner with Rocki in her arms and my first reaction is: stop it! It’s too much, too much, too precious, too delicious! The baby is the main character! Her little face, her chubby little fist, those tiny sneakers, the puffy dress with the bows on the straps…

I can’t! I am overloaded, I have no bandwidth to say anything coherent because the sweetness is making me delirious.

If I were to attempt a separate thought, it’s this: somehow Rihanna’s stripes don’t clash with her daughter’s hearts, somehow it all works, which is why RiRi’s style remains superior.

This is the second time in as many days that Rihanna’s been in stripes. She and Rocky were seen on Sunday heading out in a Ferrari with RiRi wearing a light blue and white vertical striped Schiaparelli maxi and two bags: the Schiaparelli Face and also a denim LV with red accents. This too, in my opinion, is a high degree of difficulty – managing two bags and making it chic and not schleppy.

It’s the way she conveyed her compassion, spending a quick minute with the woman while uplifting her, succinctly, with a piece of advice. There never was a softer “don’t do that sh-t” than this.
