Robby Hoffman has a lot to say about Toronto. In short? She loves it! “Jerk chicken abounds” is a great way to describe a city.

Tom Cruise may complain about the traffic, but Robby can find neighbourhood Ethiopian spots.

Last week, Sarah posted about Leslie Bibb’s Cultured magazine part as the Emmy campaigns heat up. Leslie also posted a compilation of White Lotus behind-the-scenes shots and at this point, I can’t believe we haven’t seen them all. Who do we think is getting the nominations? My guesses: Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Parker Posey. It’s not that they are deserving, but I think there’s a little extra attention around their performances that will come into play.

What brought me to Leslie today is that she reposted Sofia Richie Grainge’s hair cut (Sofia called it a French bob, we call it a cunty little bob). Can I say one thing about these Zillennial influencers? I love how they wear their own hair and will wear their hair short. They are not beholden to hair extensions.

Do you see different social acquaintances at different times of year? I find as I get older I do. Like there’s a summer hobby that is with a group I might not see much over the winter and vice versa. On Stern, Sarah Jessica Parker brings up a very 2025 issue: the Ozempic jump scare. It happens when you haven’t seen someone in months and then you run into them and they look quite different, momentarily startling you. The term for it is Ozempic face but there’s also Ozempic hands, for which plastic surgeons are not offering treatments. (And what happened to buccal fat removal, is that still a thing? Was that just the predecessor to Ozempic face?)

Chris Pratt posted about his birthday and one hill I will die on is that Chris Pratt is much more popular than a corner of the internet gives him credit for. His movies make money and he has dozens of comments from other celebrities on this post, way more than I usually see. Other celebrities love him.

I’ve never seen That Thing You Do. Should I? I know it’s a formative movie for some people.

In “lay down with dog, wake up with fleas” news, I’m sure HBO Max is annoyed that J.K. Rowling keeps insisting she is involved in the Harry Potter project. This is a massive piece of IP tied to a massive piece of sh-t and HBO knew what they were getting into with her. Even if she has no active involvement, it’s not like they can deny the creator has a hand in it. HBO is aware of the conversation; they have a very active social media team. And they turn the comments off on Harry Potter posts.
