It was revealed that Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse were dating almost exactly a year ago when they were seen kissing in Notting Hill back in July 2018. Since then, as I’ve mentioned, I appreciate their regular updates, albeit unintentional, letting us know that they’re still together.
Here they are out for a walk in London yesterday enjoying some down time before The Batman. The movie isn’t due out for another two years but this, of course, is the most high profile project of Robert’s career. He’s been working on Christopher Nolan’s Tenet the last few months which comes out next summer but before that, in a few weeks, he’ll likely be at TIFF for The Lighthouse North American premiere, the first time he’ll be in front of the media since it was confirmed that he’s the new Bruce Wayne. I can’t imagine the question won’t come up – and that that won’t be the headline: Robert Pattinson’s first comments about becoming Batman.
I actually think he’ll be a really good Batman and I think it’s going to be really, really entertaining to watch how Robert talks about being Batman. He’s known for a loopy interview now and again and he’s admitted to talking gibberish just to keep himself entertained during interviews. It’s one thing to do that on an independent film or even Twilight. It’s a whole other thing to do it for a comic book movie – and Batman no less. Nerds are very literal about their sh-t. They can sometimes be toxic about their sh-t. What would happen if Rob’s Batman is a feminist fighting for equal pay?
