Selena Gomez’s hair changes
Selena Gomez posted a photo of herself on Instagram with a new hairstyle the other day and people were wondering if she really cut it. She’s modeling the wolf bob, I f-cking love this hairstyle, period, and I love it on her. I have so much envy.
The reason I could never is because the wolf bob looks best with a little texture and I have zero texture so it would have to learn how to style it and even if I did, it’s too much work.
Pretty clear from her caption that this wasn’t permanent but so I’m wondering if it was a full wig or if she just clipped in a bang and had it styled. A clip-in bang has been my favourite hair accessory this year. Caitlin, my stylist, found and cut one for me that became my best friend this spring – it was so fun to play with a “new hairstyle” without the commitment.
Anyway, Selena was papped with Benny Blanco, in cute coordinated sweatsuits, yesterday in LA, no bangs, no wolf. But there’s a hair change happening here too because it’s longer than we’re used to seeing and there is no way it grew that much in such a short time so she probably recently got some extensions put in. The question is whether or not they’re clipped-in or taped/weaved. We’ll find out, I guess, depending on how long we see her with her hair this length. Taping and weaving is usually for when you need them for a stretch.
What else happened today…
Cate Blanchett decided to send everyone else home at the Serpentine party when she showed up in this beautifully demented dress. They will never make me hate this dress because of the cap sleeve. (Go Fug Yourself)
A few years ago the internet was fighting over who’s the best Chris. Now Kayleigh Donaldson is choosing violence by wondering whether or not the Chris era is over, LOL. (Pajiba)
I have no comment on Prince William and whatever he’s doing in this story. My only comment is that his former publicist and now the CEO of his climate patronage looks like a Bradley Cooper impersonator and should enter a Bradley Cooper lookalike contest. (Celebitchy)
Nora Princiotti’s essay on Lorde’s new album makes me want to listen to Lorde’s new album. (The Ringer)
I went to Korea back in March, it was the trip of a lifetime. And not for the reason you think. For my friends, Anne, Hannah, Liz, and me, the reason the trip is so special is because it was a trip for friendship. We went there for each other. And we found each other through BTS. Hannah wrote about the experience a few weeks ago and just this week, Ann’s piece about how we took it from the group chat to the group pilgrimage was also published. I could cry looking at these photos. (The Globe & Mail, The Kit)
