What Else?

I posted earlier about Angelina Jolie’s subdued look at the Torino Film Festival. And Sharon Stone showed up in the opposite style energy. This is about as wide awake as possible – and glorious. But as eye-catching as this red caped number is, I prefer her second look, which is an oversize blazer over a black skirt, and the glasses. It’s Diane Keaton with a dash of Annette Bening and still every bit the hot bitch that is Sharon.  (Go Fug Yourself)

Everybody I know at work and a few people at our Substack, The Squawk, is talking about Hot Frosty. I thought about watching it this weekend but decided to push it another week when I can get properly high because that’s the energy I intend to bring to this movie. Interest level just soared, though, after reading Jen Maravegias’s post. (Pajiba)

I spent the weekend listening to Kendrick Lamar’s surprise new album GNX, and I love it. Most people are talking about the tracks where he goes hard but I can’t get enough of “Luther” featuring SZA. I LOOOOVE this song SO much. So I can’t wait to dig into Paul Thompson’s piece about how this album is Kendrick’s “victory lap”. Is there just one victory lap though? Because the Super Bowl is probably also a victory lap, non? (The Ringer)

The streaming service Jacek and I have been watching the most these days is Apple. They might not have as many subscribers as the others but their programming is first class. Most of it, at least. Like Slow Horses which we are deep into right now. And Shrinking. And the upcoming second season of Severance. Wolfs, however, the film starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt went nowhere. Nobody cared. So, no surprise, it’s not getting a sequel. (Celebitchy)

Zendaya is filming The Drama with Robert Pattinson in Boston. Which is why Tom Holland is in Boston, not attending his lookalike contest but hitting up the local pub to drink his own non-alcoholic beer, with Zendaya during her off hours. And he actually posted about it which is notable because he’s not that active on social media. Neither is she, really. So, once again, they’re showing up for each other and it’s viral, as usual, but also just so f-cking cute. (Elle)
