We’re wrapping up Season 2 of the Show Your Work podcast with a classic and a casting update. How do you feel about Little Women? Are you like Duana and read it once a year? It’s been reported that Greta Gerwig will be directing a reboot starring Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, and Timothee Chalamet.

What’s the difference in the work of Mia Wasikowska and Alison Brie? Vulture profiled Mia’s career in a piece about her “radical self-sufficiency” last week and we compare it to the Daily Beast’s feature on Alison Brie’s “epic fight”. Some people get to show their work more than others – and this is true outside of Hollywood too. What do you do when people can only see your work in one way?
And then, a listener question about “guilty pleasures”, specifically reality television. Is it really a “guilty” pleasure though? Or has it just been branded that way? What’s the relationship between who’s consuming culture and how culture is categorised?

Netflix has “taste clusters”. Well Pornhub has added closed captioning, have you heard? And they’ve already had described video for a while. That’s a specific entertainment industry servicing its clientele and trying to be more inclusive. That’s right. We finally get to talk business about porn on Show Your Work.
