On this week’s episode of Show Your Work, we analyse the “rewilding” of Angelina Jolie. She’s been one of the savviest celebrities in the business in image management; as Duana says Angie will always be A++++ list and even though there’s been a pivot in her vibe the last few months, which she’s been talking about in interviews including the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, we discuss whether or not it feels fresh and the other ways that Angelina has to tweak her fame game in these times.

Next, have you heard about the assistants of Hollywood in open revolt? Think back to your Entourage education and the Ari and Lloyd relationship. That’s not how it works anymore. Well, actually, the abuse and the yelling still happens but the career advancement doesn’t. Duana breaks down Hollywood hierarchies and what ordering lunch has to do with equality in the business. Seriously. LUNCH. No matter where you work and what you do, everyone can relate to LUNCH.

Then…it’s time to talk about Taylor Swift, the theatre geek. And why she and Andrew Lloyd Webber were made for each other. And how she was made for Cats. Or, rather, how she made herself for Cats. Taylor is showing her work– and her thirst. Only we kinda need a new word for it in her case because it’s an evolution of thirst when you want it that bad and you actually make it happen.

Finally, we dig into the mailbag and your online reviews! THANK YOU FOR writing to us and for leaving comments wherever you get your podcasts. It opens up the show to new listeners and we LOVE the criticism – please keep it coming!
