We have arrived at what we expect to be the last post of the 2023 – unless, of course, some major sh-t goes down over the next ten days in which case, yes, we will be here. If not, we wish you the best of the season and we hope you can rest. Because if 2023 was any indication, we are in for a LOT of good (and some bad) gossip in 2024.

Signing off then with pictures of our Christmas angel in black and white in Aspen. Those Chanel earmuffs though, expensive and hard to find in white. Obviously not a problem for Mimi.

Read Kathleen’s latest piece on the best movie performances by Black female artists this year. Agree with everything she says, especially Teyana Taylor. If you haven’t not seen A Thousand and One, you should try to get to it over the holidays. She’s so f-cking good. (Refindery 29)

Kim Kardashian filled her tub with chocolate and then namechecked Willy Wonka so two things – Kylie and Timothée Chalamet are still happening and … what’s going to happen to the chocolate? Who’s going to consume all of that? Because I know it won’t be them. So a staff member now has to dump it out, right? (The Cut)

Brian Tyree Henry year in fashion – he was a big highlight last award season and seeing these looks, I missed him the second half of the year. So we are in need of more Brian Tyree Henry in 2024. For the fashion and the function! (Go Fug Yourself)

The docuseries Gwyneth vs Terry: The Ski Crash Trial is now streaming and the reviews aren’t great. I guess because “Well, I lost half a day of skiing” is extremely entertaining to watch on social media but I’m not sure the entertainment can be stretched over several episodes. Also, half the internet already sees Gwyneth as a villain, so making a whole show trying to expose her legal tactics and whatever it is that they’re exposing about her in this series is, like, not exactly a revelation. This feels like it came right down to the wire: the Golden Globes have finally found a host. Jo Koy will host the show in January and I’m happy for him but at the same time I wish better for him, because there have already been so many reports about how many people have turned down the job and the Golden Globes, you know, don’t exactly have the best reputation. Jo of course can turn this into an amazing opportunity – for himself. Just like Jerrod Carmichael did last year. (NextShark)
