Simone Ashley has been cut from the F1 movie and it’s a story because we saw so much of it being filmed because of Brad Pitt. And it’s brought up stories of other actors being cut. Did you know Ellen Pompeo was cut from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? I had no idea, had never heard that. 

I still enjoy a Buzzfeed-style roundup, here’s one of famous actors who were cut from big movies.

Being cut is different than being let go. Eric Stoltz was replaced on Back to the Future several weeks into filming. Jon Bernthal was fired from I Love You Man, replaced by Andy Samberg. And he said the cast was not nice about it. He spoke about it in 2018 but I highly doubt Jon would drop that tidbit today. Yesterday Lainey wrote about the old Movieline interviews that were so candid and we are definitely missing the classic sit-down interview with an actor on the way up. There is an intensity to a maybe-movie star who is so close they can taste it. But it has occurred to me that this could be a generational media divide – has this kind of interview shifted from magazines to podcasts?

Like Lainey, I have BCoop on the brain. Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper are going strong but there’s still one more step: the official red carpet. Will it be at Superman in July? 

Speaking of Superman, it’s Skylar Gisondo’s time to shine – again. He’s a scene stealer. The internet was obsessed with him two years ago and it’s going to happen again. He’s Walton Goggins for people who grew up with home internet. 

I’m a big In-N-Out fan (call me basic, I don’t care!) and I love that they aren’t on delivery apps. It makes it a whole experience. It’s the only fast food place I insist on sitting inside so I can eat way too many peppers. 

John Legend’s copycat looks so good but this is my thing: copycats only get you so far. It’s like when restaurants make their own ketchup. That said, the Teigen-Legend family knows how to eat, so if you ever need a scalloped potato recipe, this is the go-to. I can’t find the flour-free version and since when is Cravings behind a paywall? 

When Martha Plimpton and River Phoenix are mentioned in the same sentence, I feel a pinch. I know I’m not the only one.
