Snapchat has unveiled new “smart” sunglasses (when will tech companies learn that nobody wants these) and hired an array of celebrities to promote the line; sports, music, and fashion are represented. But the majority of Snapchat’s user base is 18- 24-year-olds, so who is spending over $2k for a pair of these?

I had to look up why Chris Pratt got a Super Bowl ring (it’s for being a longtime fan and team ambassador). Super Bowl rings are kind of funny because they are ugly. That’s not subjective, they are hideous and unwearable. I guess the point is not to wear it but to have it mounted in a trophy room.

Jordyn Woods was front-and-center for a lot of the celebrity coverage around the Knicks, some of it focused on her relationship with Kylie Jenner. For those who don’t follow, Jordyn and Kylie were best friends and fell out when Tristan Thompson (who was with Khloe Kardashian) kissed Jordyn at a party. Jordyn was 21 and Tristan was a serial cheater. It was all captured on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, with Khloe heavily blaming Jordyn. But when public sentiment shifted, so did Khloe’s blame.

Part of the public shift was facilitated by Jada Pinkett-Smith, because the Smiths are close with Jordyn’s family (her dad was a sound engineer on Fresh Prince of Bel Air).  She hosted Jordyn on Red Table Talk and it was a massive deal at the time and very highly rated. Taking on that big of a cultural phenomenon is not easy and it’s kind of ironic that Jordyn is now living the life that Khloe wanted with Tristan.

There’s a bit of conversation bubbling up about Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian – internet nothingburger or a little something? I truly have no idea, but he posted this a week ago.
