The first two episodes of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour docuseries will be released this Friday on Disney+. The next two are coming next Friday 19 December and the final two on Friday 26 December. So for some of us, especially if we’re very online, it’ll be two weeks of having the internet tell us everything about every episode, or trying to avoid being told everything about every episode, because I’m in the (minority) camp of those who will be saving it for the holiday break.

Last night Taylor was in New York, at a press screening with her tour family and Disney executives.

She reportedly also did some interviews ahead of the premiere. And Good Morning America had an exclusive preview that aired today from the first two episodes.

And she’ll be on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Last night Taylor stepped out for dinner with Este Haim. Which, of course, delighted Swifties because it was Tuesday and the lyrics to “no body, no crime” are:

“Este's a friend of mine,

We meet up every Tuesday night for dinner and a glass of wine”

The friend that TMZ is trying to clickbait is Blake Lively, who was also out in NYC yesterday at a brand event so the idea here is that since they were both just blocks from each other but Blake wasn’t invited to hang, it must be confirmation that the friendship is, indeed, totally over. As if Taylor Swift would let anything pull focus this week from the docuseries drop.

It’s release week and it’s also birthday week. Taylor turns 36 on Saturday and in Chinese astrology, this represents the completion of a third zodiac cycle, pretty significant in our culture every time you finish a spin. Taylor was born under the sign of the Snake, and for every sign in the Chinese zodiac, the third cycle is a major turning point but especially for the snake because of the mythological command of the multiple of 3 and how snakes shed their skin. So it’s a time of transformation and renewal and, for snakes in particular, a major strengthening because of the knowledge and experience gained through the previous cycles. So if you buy into Chinese astrology, Taylor Swift is only just coming into her true power.
