Swift Squad Social Media

As you’ve probably seen by now, Taylor Swift and her collection of friends showed us all what it was like to party at her place on the Fourth of July. F-ck. I would have wanted to go down that water slide. IN SOMEONE’S BACKYARD. It’s been a long time since I played in a personal pool, like a pool in someone’s home, not a hotel, not a resort. Was actually at a Fourth of July party at an American friend’s house on Saturday. She has a pool. And her pool has one of those inflatable flamingos floating around in it. Just like Taylor and all her swans. I was tempted.

In addition to showing you her water facilities, no Taylor Swift Independence Day is complete without a jump-in-the-air photo. Because haven’t we all wanted to be in an 80s Ralph Lauren ad? Haven’t we all wanted to be invited to a party where your hostess provides you with star spangled onesies for after hours roasted marshmallows time? Like, she really thought of everything. And one day, when she, following in the footsteps of Gwyneth and Blake and Reese, launches SwiftLife.com, we’ll look back on these moments – didn’t we all see it coming? Blonde white girls have been telling us how to live for centuries.

Interestingly enough, since I’m not on Instagram, someone wrote me today to tell me that all of these Swift Squad social media photos were posted on Saturday night within 10 minutes of each other. Almost as though it was scheduled.

7pm dinner
9pm singalong by the fire
10pm make dessert together while creating memories
11:30pm everyone pull out their phone and document the aforementioned memories
