Just a few days ago I was grousing about The Family Stone and now that Jean Smart has signed on? Brilliant, best idea for a sequel ever, I have no idea what everyone is talking about I’ve been behind this since day one.

Ryan Murphy has confirmed he just finished writing the Glee reboot and the original cast is “enthusiastic” about it. Glee ran for 6 seasons and in typical Ryan Murphy fashion, started off fresh and interesting and then devolved into silliness. But the show is unique in its cultural footprint, both for being a musical and for everything that has happened with the cast. If it gets to production (which it will, Ryan Murphy is a TV-making machine) it will be a pop culture takeover, the press tour will be huge.

Christian Bale, Nicolas Cage, John Mulaney, Sienna Miller, Kathryn Hahn and Shane Gillis star in the Madden movie, which just dropped a new poster. Is this meant to be Oscar bait or is it the equivalent of “straight to DVD”? I really can’t tell at this time of year.

I’m very much looking forward to season three of my favourite bougie comfort show.

A lot has been written about streamers struggling to retain audiences for series that had a strong first season and a great example of that is Man on the Inside. Fun concept, short episodes, and Ted Danson – this is the kind of show that should go for 10 years.

I watched The Love Hypothesis last night, spurred on by Lili Reinhart’s rom-com dress tour. It was not good, fairly joyless for the genre, and dark. Not thematically dark, literally dark at some points. What do today’s cinematographers and directors have against turning the lights on?

There’s a very low-quality rumour about Megan Thee Stallion and her ex Klay Thompson looking cozy together which I took a few minutes to trace – old photo, no supporting evidence. All celebrities are subject to rumours and speculation but when it comes to Meg, I’m especially wary about anything that isn’t directly confirmed by her because she has been so targeted.
