Verity, but no Annie

The Verity premiere happened tonight in London but without Anne Hathaway who was photographed around the same time in New York. Annie would never skip out on promotion if she could help it… and there’s an obvious explanation. Air travel is typically not recommended in the final weeks of pregnancy and Annie is likely within her final weeks of pregnancy, given that she announced the pregnancy over three months ago, presumably in her second trimester. There will be a premiere in New York for the film next week.

In the meantime Josh Hartnett and Dakota Johnson were holding it down in the UK on the red carpet. She looks insanely sexy in this lace dress, I love it on her with the black undergarments.

Perfect timing too – since we started the day with the reveal that she’s in Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” video, free publicity for the film… or a connection to it? Either way the studio and the movie’s producers can only be thrilled by the fact that Taylor and Dakota have added another layer to their friendship just in time for the movie to open in theatres next Friday.

But for now let’s wrap it up with Josh Hartnett, an all-time snack for some of us, and as fine as ever now, with not just one project to promote in October but in addition to Verity he also stars in the new Netflix series, BELOW, releasing on October 8. The series was shot in Newfoundland about a “mysterious sea creature” which, to be honest, is a challenge for me because I don’t do ghosts or monsters and I made it through the trailer … well… Josh looks so hot in fisherman sweaters speaking in a Newfoundland accent but I don’t think my heart can handle several hours of this. Perfect for spooky season though. And more Josh is never a bad thing.

I agree with Bryce Dallas Howard when she says that there’s been a “generational shift” with respect to menopause awareness, not that we couldn't always use more. Here’s what I just learned – for the last couple of months my ears have been SO itchy. Like I keep thinking I have an infection, I’ve used my Chinese ear scratcher more lately than I have my whole life… and then I decided to google it last week and it turns out itchy ears are a menopause symptom! So is frozen shoulder, which I had two years ago. (Celebitchy)
