All I need to say here is GRETA LEE.

Greta Lee with the serve in Venice this week, in my opinion the BEST of the festival, not just so far but, like, I can’t see any other look that will top this, her, it. Not just because she looks unbelievable, but because of the significance of the dress, and basically her entire Venice wardrobe overall.

We’ll get to that but let's just admire this showstopper.

First of all, her f-cking face framed by the long tousled hair and the middle part. Like she just had sex on the way over. And it totally works with the overall look because the dress is a deconstructed, reimagined suit. You can see it in the lapels that create the deep-V down her chest and the cummerbund dropped low around her hips and her ass. But there are feminine elements too: an actual pussy bow, lol, and the tenting pleats at the back…

I will never get over the way Greta came to slay Venice. Ever!

And of course she’s wearing Dior. Dior for these three looks too.

Dior is now Jonathan Anderson and as I mentioned back in June when his position was confirmed, since he’s considered one of the most talented designers of his generation, his debut womenswear collection for the house in October will be the other most coveted ticket during Paris Fashion Week, alongside Matthieu Blazy’s premiere at Chanel.

Greta was Jonathan’s muse at Loewe. And she continues to be his muse with Dior – because she is the first woman to wear Dior by Jonathan Anderson, and the pieces she has modelled in Venice hint to what we can expect from the full collection. This is a flex!

Greta is in Venice with two films: Kent Jones’s Late Fame and Kathryn Bigelow’s latest, The House of Dynamite, no big deal. But also, The Morning Show is premiering soon and she’s in Tron: Ares. The fall belongs to Greta Lee.

What else happened today…

Greta talked to Vogue about her first Venice experience and the legendary actress she was channelling. (Vogue)

Stephen Colbert will be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! when the show goes to New York later this month. And since they both have no more f-cks to give, it’s going to be great TV. (Pajiba)

All the celebrities at the US Open lately, including Lindsay Lohan who matched her bag to her dress. Those shoes are killing me though. (Go Fug Yourself)

Drake was on Bobbi Althoff’s podcast again, even though at first I thought this was a rerun from a few years ago. He’s talking about all the body speculation and whether or not he had surgery. It wasn’t surgery, it was the phone and the filter. (Celebitchy)

Nora Princiotti’s new piece is about how this was a summer without monoculture. There’s a mention here about the Coldplay CEO scandal and the reason I think this is monoculture is because I found out last night that even my 80-year-old mother-in-law knew about it. And she doesn’t exactly subscribe the pop culture algorithm. (The Ringer)
