At the end of Sunday’s episode of The White Lotus season three (episode #2), Jacek turned to me and said, “I would binge the sh-t out of this, whyyyy can’t they drop it all at once?” But the thing is… most of the best shows over the last few years have not been full dumps, right? Shōgun and Succession were week to week. Slow Horses too. And Shrinking. And Only Murders in the Building. And Hacks. And… SEVERANCE, which we also wait for once a week, and right now it’s probably the series everyone is talking about. Oh and one more because Jacek and I just started it and, OMG, we are obsessed: Paradise!

This has always been The White Lotus schedule and, unlike Jacek, I’m not mad at it, even though I’m the more compulsive between the two of us. The people are too unsettling, they should only be digested an hour at a time. Especially the Ratliffs, and Saxon Ratliffe, played by Patrick Schwarzenegger who is a monster. It’s only getting worse with this motherf-cker, and it’s already really heinous. The tell, obviously, for the audience is also the way he’s been parented.

Here's Patrick out with his fiancée Abby Champion yesterday around the same time he was making headlines for his comments about whether not he got the role because of his dad and talking about how he’s been taking acting classes for ten years. Interestingly enough, his brother on the show, Lochy, is played by Sam Nivola, also a nepo baby. His parents are Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Novola. He’s actually half of a couple that’s a new fave for the youths.

Yesterday Sam was at the Gucci show at Milan Fashion with Iris Apatow. And he recently joked to British Vogue that he and Iris are part of “some secret cabal of nepo kids who hang out in black robes”, LOL. Look, we’ve talked the nepo baby thing to death at this point… and it stays living. They’re everywhere. They’re more everywhere than ever. By now, I think, the audience has accepted it. So I’m not sure the nepo babies have to keep justifying it – better to shrug, make a joke, and move along like Sam. He and Iris are pretty adorable together. Maybe I’m biased because he’s my birthday twin, September 26.

Plus her outfit, all this green leather and the boots? Excellent.
