Not really, but someone approached Travis Kelce like he was a wedding expert and I’m here to say, all in good fun since we need some of that right now (because these Swifties get real sensitive over this sh-t), that he is unqualified.

It happened on this week’s episode of New Heights, when a listener called in to bitch about when his fiancée wants to get married: in the fall. Which is football season (for some people). Travis’s response, because he plays football, was to say that he doesn’t know anyone who’s gotten married in the fall. This makes sense for him, and his associates, because football is the job. But for regular degulars who are not football players but football watchers… this, to me, is absurd.

Travis was onside with the listener though – per Page Six

“You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good maybe,” he joked.

“I’ve seen weddings in f-cking February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So I’m not sure if the fall was a good wedding season.”

He continued:

“I think you guys should duke that out. If you really do have a problem with that, maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around.”

I know football is considered an American institution and, being Canadian myself, maybe I don’t get it because I don’t go to that church. But if there’s a dude out there who might not be “invested in the anniversary” every year because there’s a game on TV…

Sorry but that’s some unsexy sh-t, a proper turnoff. Jason Kelce ended up putting an end to that nonsense and the other reason why it’s nonsense is because Travis’s girlfriend’s favourite season is actually fall! I could totally see Taylor as an autumn bride, if she ever gets married at all. But maybe that’s just my personal preference because I was an autumn bride. You know what the advantage of an autumn wedding is, girls? You’re not sweating off your hair and makeup. And, in my experience, people are more willing to party in the fall than the summer when you’re eating up one of their precious weekends with your wedding. After school starts, it’s more fun to look forward to a weekend hang with friends and an open bar and a good playlist on the dance floor.

In other Taylor Swift news… there is none. She’s been pretty quiet through the new year although she did come up in the whole Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni mess because his crisis PR team was bracing for whether or not she might have come in with an assist for Blake and allegedly accounting for a counterstrike should Swifties get in on the situation. Taylor herself hasn’t said anything but there’s no doubt where her support and loyalty would lean.

Kansas City’s first playoff games will be in KC so there’s a good chance that that’s when and where we’ll see her pop up next – not this weekend but the weekend after.
