As repeated too many times, my friend Michelle has a thing about sateen. It makes her crazy. Michelle is a tv producer. Sateen looks terrible on television and in photographs. So unflattering. Lumps where there are no lumps.

Here’s Posh arriving at LAX yesterday surprisingly underdressed by her standards. And still, Victoria Beckham, who hasn’t eaten since Clinton was president, manages in sateen to look like she might actually have a problem area.
Who’s burning a blouse tonight?
Interestingly enough, Posh and her best friend/enemy Katie Holmes are both in town without their husbands. Will they hook up for a girls’ night? Or has the ugly reached the point of no return?
