Wasn’t a fan of Sydney Sweeney’s Met Gala look but I do appreciate Sydney Sweeney’s post-Met Gala priorities. As mentioned a couple of weeks ago, there’s a new boy in Sydney’s life – Sully Bear, her German shepherd puppy, who’s been travelling with her from LA to Florida and New York this week. 

 

Sully stayed back at the hotel, obviously, while Sydney was at the party but she had to get back to him later because – and anyone who lives with a dog or dogs can relate to this – he’s still little, he had to pee, maybe more than just pee.

 

There was still a huge crowd of photographers and fans outside the hotel though and at one point, when Sydney tried to put Sully down on the ground to start walking, people began screaming over another celebrity returning for the night, and Sully got spooked. Poor baby! 

I wonder if he’s so used to being carried, he’ll want to be carried when he’s a big boy. My best friend grew up with German shepherds and they were all over 100lbs minimum. And several of them, even full size, wanted to be lapdogs. It’s cute and also uncomfortable – we have beagles and sometimes, even though they’re only 25-35 lbs or so, it gets heavy after they’re lying on you for a while. This is Sydney’s future. 

 

But, um, at least it’s not the dead weight of a man. 

And on that note, before heading to NYC for the Met Gala, Sydney was in Vegas on the weekend, seen hanging out at one point with Machine Gun Kelly and Patrick Schwarzenegger. The interactions with Patrick looked pretty standard and there’s a White Lotus angle here that’s kinda fun. What would Olivia Mossbacher have thought of Saxon Ratliff? Sydney with MGK, however, was a different vibe. 

 

My video assumption, our favourite game of baseless conclusions, is that there’s flirting. It’s the double touch, she rests her hand on his arm not once but twice. And maybe she didn’t know she was doing it as this, sometimes, can be unconscious but that can also be more revealing – of attraction that can’t be contained. Or, you know, she could just be a flirty person, someone who flirts with everyone. I know a lot of people like this and they’re not looking to hook up, I just notice it more because I’m not a flirty person and I don’t like to be touched and generally never touch, especially not anyone I’ve just met, so when people behave in the opposite manner, it’s that much more remarkable. 

To go back to Sydney and MGK, I don’t know if she would, but I feel like he definitely f-cking would.
