Tina Fey is widely assumed to be the top choice to be Lorne Michael’s successor, if she wants the job. But what if she’s usurped at the last moment by Colin Jost (Tom Wambsgans)?

At a press stop for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Charlie Day (who voices Luigi) was asked about his favourite Luigi and responded, “Luigi Mangione.” The interviewer teed it up while his cast mates are screaming laughing and Anya Taylor-Joy covers her face. There was no other answer he could give, it worked perfectly. I’m sure the PR person standing off-camera was freaking out but this is great.

If I’m ever murdered, send these two to solve the case.

Gwyneth Paltrow is set to star in the film adaptation of Strangers: A Memoir of Divorce for Netflix and author Belle Burden was recently on Oprah’s podcast.  This is not a story of conscious uncoupling – there’s abandonment, betrayal, and shock set during Covid isolation. But there are some parallels between Belle and Gwyneth – Belle comes from a monied society family and both of their daughters attend the same college. Curious to see how the script pans out.

This clip perfectly explains BJ Novak’s career. Next time you feel a tinge of imposter syndrome, think of how BJ Novak got cast for The Office.

I’ve been talking about the uptick in celebrity brand deals (recession indicator) and with that comes some curious overlaps. Today’s case is Miranda Kerr for Almay, a clean makeup line. Miranda already owns her own line, Kora Organics, so why not expand into makeup herself? Maybe this is more a long-term strategy: Almay is owned by Revlon – could there be an acquisition at play?

I’m a bit embarrassed to ask this at my big age but what exactly happens at Largo Los Angeles? Its Instagram feed is packed with comedians but is it improv? Stand up? Someone explain it to me. (By someone I mean Sarah.)
