Nina Dobrev posted this TikTok on September 5th, a few days before the split news. She was leaving a trail of breadcrumbs, which good gossips appreciate. It’s not an outright confirmation of the rumours about him stepping out, but a very obvious wink to the camera. A video of them together is still pinned in her top three, which in my opinion is much more chill than wiping someone off your account. As the kids say, let her cook.

Am I the only one who doesn’t hate award speeches that go over? I kind of feel like the segments need better planning because if every single person is going over, they aren’t being given enough time! Cut from somewhere else.

I guess the bot accounts have discovered Orange is the New Black because it’s constantly coming up in my feed, no idea why. But it got me thinking about this show – it was the first Netflix hit, right? It put streaming on the map and I feel like it doesn’t get enough credit for that.

Lena Dunham has a memoir coming out, and I wonder if it will address her fallout from her book of essays. She has a lot of good material. Creatively, she’s on a streak and seems to work in cycles (Too Much, the book and producing multiple projects including an AppleTV+ series with Emily Ratajkowski and a Netflix overall deal). Her work is quite personal, so the long breaks – to live and to process that living – makes sense.

Nothing has made me feel as out of the loop with pop culture as The Summer I Turned Pretty. I missed out on all the fun. Is it too late? It’s almost worst watching a show after everyone has moved on.
