The headlines about Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are likely a precursor to a breakup announcement and hopefully it’s as copacetic as these situations can be.
But I am curious as to why this “source” went to PEOPLE. Sure, Pete is famous but Elsie is not a household name and the breakup could be much quieter than this.
Rachel Bloom’s comedy pilot has been cancelled and it’s so puzzling to me because I was a huge Crazy Ex-Girlfriend stan and that show was consistently on the bubble of cancellation. Then her Hulu show Reboot was really good and was cancelled after one season. Her characters are so sharp and the storytelling is so strong and I would understand if it’s not a fit for traditional network half-hour sitcoms, but there are so many options with streaming. As she pointed out in the comments, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was rejected by Showtime and then landed at CW, so maybe another network or streamer will pick this up.
There’s a rumour that Michael Rubin moved his Fourth of July party so it didn’t have to compete with the rumoured TNT wedding and maybe it’s true, but it has me wondering how much guest crossover there would be. Looking at previous guest attendance, besides Beyoncé (who doesn’t attend every year), there doesn’t seem to be a lot of crossover in the social groups. Maybe it’s more on Travis’s side, since Michael is partnered with the NFL on licensing deals and often hangs with football players.
This is like hard launching a bunion.
