Tessa Thompson’s pocket shoes

Tessa Thompson has been outside this week, including yesterday which involved multiple wardrobe changes. First, she was seen heading into her hotel in a pair of sleek trousers, and then at night she was seen stepping out with her boyfriend, Brandon Green (son of British almost-billionaire Sir Philip Green, and Emma Watons’s ex. Is he the boy version of Kaia Gerber?). 

Tessa rocked a flouncy parachute skirt…shorts?...skort??...and bare abs for date night. She looks incredible of course, that face card never declines, neither does the ab card, but what I really want to talk about are her shoes. Tessa was seen leaving her hotel in a pair of open-toed heels but then was photographed in a pair of fleece-lined ballet flats—much more sensible shoes. She was on her way to the UGG Season Party, so I assume the flats are UGGs.

I have a lot of questions about the logistics of the shoe swap. When did it happen? In the car on the way to the party? Why even bother? It’s an UGG party, why not just wear the comfy UGGs the whole time? Why bother with the heels? But since she did bother with the heels, where were the flats hidden? In her bag? In her skort? In her boyfriend’s dumb green jacket thing that I thought was a bathrobe at first glance? 

The flats look much more comfortable, I never blame a lady for changing into more sensible shoes, I just really want to know where Tessa had the shoes hidden. Do they roll up so she could tuck them into a voluminous pocket? Are pocket shoes a thing now? Please let’s agree to be dumb for just today and solve the mystery of Tessa Thompson’s pocket shoes.
