Dear Gossips,

The off-set behaviour of the cast of Off Campus has become an internet fixation, not unlike what happened recently with Heated Rivalry and then The Summer I Turned Pretty before that. And way, way, way before all of them, Twilight of course was the biggest example. Which is fitting because someone, in a tweet that I can no longer find, noted yesterday that this is giving 2000s celebrity gossip – and I can definitely see that energy. I’m talking about Mika Abdalla and Josh Heuston, who play Allie and Justin on the show.

There’s been speculation since the press tour that something was happening between the two of them. They were paired during the junket and the chemistry between them was popping off during the interviews. Mika and Josh were then seen on holiday with some of their friends, Josh actually shared a couple of photos of Mika in a photo dump on Instagram yesterday.

That wasn’t necessarily a hard launch, but then another series of photos surfaced, taken by fans, of him and Mika in Paris looking … well… like this.

It’s the kind of body language that suggests some things. And if what the body language is suggesting isn’t what’s actual, it’s only a matter of time.

What makes it even more interesting is that Mika was engaged not that long ago. Her rep confirmed that she and Jake Short, also an actor, had ended their relationship amicably, and no timeline for the split was given, but it is possible that there’s some overlap – but unlike what typically happens when celebrity relationships overlap, no one seems to be mad about this one because everyone was already mad at Jake. Mostly over this resurfaced clip.

He’s since apologised for it but my point is, even if she did break up with Jake and hooked up five minutes later with Josh, it hasn’t much affected her reputation. But to go back to the 2000s of it all, there are definitely similarities here between Mika and Kristen Stewart and Michael Angarano and Jake Short and Josh Heuston and Robert Pattinson, LOL. Michael and KStew, by the way, all these years later, are still friends, she was just in a film that he directed (Sacramento), co-starring his now-wife, Maya Erskine, who is the baddest and the coolest. The lesson here is that in 15 years, everything will be fine! And that celebrity always repeats itself, generation to generation.
