Six weeks to go

Now that the Oscars are over, the next major red carpet on the pop culture calendar is the Met Gala. The Met Gala is happening six weeks from Monday, not that far away. I’m in no rush, we need to recover from award season, but I say this because I’ve been thinking about Beyoncé (in my spare time when I’m not thinking about BTS).

We know Beyoncé was outside on Oscar weekend because she hosts an annual after-party. Apparently Usher and Justin Bieber got into it at the party. This doesn’t interest me. What interests me is that, as far as I know, we haven’t seen any pictures of Beyoncé from the night. If you have, please enlighten me. As we know, people are usually very careful with their phones any time they’re in Beyoncé’s presence so it doesn’t surprise me that nobody tried to share anything and risk being shunned forever. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were there and we only know this because people are talking about it, but not posting visuals. Probably one of the few places TNT can go and feel reasonably secure that there aren’t people creeping shots of them dancing or whatever.

Anyway, back to the Met Gala because Beyoncé is one of the co-chairs this year, the theme is Costume Art. Which obviously means that she’s already been working on a look. Getting Beyoncé to not only attend but to co-chair is a coup for Anna Wintour but will Beyoncé be leveraging something out of it? I know, I know, we always end up clowning ourselves when we speculate on how Beyoncé is moving but… umm… is act iii coming? And will she stay undercover from now until she actually shows up on the steps at the Met?

OMG, haha, I was just saying award season is over and we had some breathing room but I guess a light and early conversation has already started about next award season. And, yes, it looks like Timothée Chalamet might be part of it. (The Ringer)

Yes, we’ve been preoccupied by Oscars and BTS but let’s always remember that Just Andrew was arrested and is being investigated and continue to side-eye and openly criticise those who enabled him. (Celebitchy)
