We are now one week out from The Devil Wears Prada 2 finally opening in theaters after what feels like a nine-month press tour fashion extravaganza. And they’re not done! The Prada 2 crew is still in London where everyone showed up for a photocall in a collective sunglasses moment.

I absolutely do not know how people do red carpets, etc, during the day, I would HAVE to wear sunglasses, or I would be squinting in every photo, so I appreciate the protective eyewear from the mini-Met Gala parade.

Speaking of the Met Gala, it’s one week from Monday. Anne Hathaway is a regular, Meryl Streep is speculated to make her first appearance on the stairs. After the top tier fashion of this press tour, though, will it feel a little redundant? There’s no breathing room between that event and these premieres. Or will the Met’s elevated place in fashion culture force some space between them? Will the Met even feel elevated this year?

If we go by Vogue appearances, Annie is almost certainly bound for the Met given she's on the cover of Vogue Australia. She always does great magazine editorials and this is no different. I think my favorite look might be the patterned tights. I'm not usually a tights girly but the styling is really good with those patterned tights. Hard to pull off but Annie accomplishes it.

On the fashion front in London, Meryl came looking like your grandmother who is a lady who lunches and judges every life choice you’ve ever made.

Anne Hathaway came as her daughter-in-law who hated her at first but then they bonded and now they’re an unstoppable family duo. You hate to see them coming! But they take you to the best lunches.

Emily Blunt, meanwhile, is the most recent addition to the family, still working her way into the dynamics.

On a more serious note, I like the idea of Simone Ashley’s dreamsicle daytime look, I just wish the skirt didn’t have the peplum. Between that and the relaxed fit of the top, it’s too much volume around her waist. But the color is great.
