Dua and Callum are maybe-engaged

It’s the Lunar New Year, kicking off the Year of the Snake. Thanks to Lainey and the vicarious instructions of her mother, I have gotten into the habit of starting my year with a massive clean. I’ve purged my cupboards, scrubbed all the surfaces, and today I will cap it off with a thorough sweep and fresh sheets, trying to start the year with some positive, laundry-fresh energy. Feels like a lost cause already but oh well! 

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner, however, are starting their Year of the Snake with committed relationship energy—they’re probably engaged and celebrated last night in Paris. Dua was just at the Chanel show, Callum was at Sundance over the weekend, but they wore matching black to dinner in Paris. 

Dua was “hiding” a ring—or maybe just not waving her hand in everyone’s face—but if this is ring watch, she is wearing a ring on her ring finger in the sixth slide on this carousel:

Ring watch is dumb, let’s just assume the two hot people got engaged. Two hot busy people—Dua is on tour this year and I am tempted to go because her brand of “I am standing up, isn’t that enough” dancing is exactly my speed, and Callum has a bunch of movies in the hopper, including Atropia, which just debuted at Sundance, Eternity with Elizabeth Olsen and Miles Teller, and a dysfunctional family drama co-starring Pamela Anderson and Elle Fanning. They’re young, hot, in love, maybe engaged, booked and busy—at least 2025 is starting out good for someone!
