Paris Fashion Week continues today and Chanel is the main event, but let me just back it up because there are some looks from yesterday that I didn’t get a chance to cover. Like Gabrielle Union at Schiaparelli because…
This is a showstopper! The perfect combination of dress to wearer but it’s not just the garment it’s also, like, her hair, and her face and the way she’s working it and…and…and… scroll through the carousel, you’ll get it.
Yesterday was also the Dior show, where house ambassador Jisoo brought the face card. I am obsessed with this lip colour – pink/nude/coral… whatever it is I must have it. I also love the hair and the accessories and this leather jacket is f-cking sublime, the way it crosses over at the neck like a mandarin collar, I am dead.
As great as that jacket is, though, my favourite look at Dior was Nicola Coughlan…and it was her first couture show!
Nicola was also in all black, also in a jacket over a skirt or dress but hers was kinda like a deconstructed bomber, giving a little cold shoulder on both sides, by asymmetrical and thoroughly badass.
But you know who seems to have been invited to every single show? That would be Pamela Anderson. I posted about her at Jacquemus yesterday and at Dior she was all drama and sophistication, in an exquisite grey pantsuit highlighted by a blazer that’s an extension of a scarf – SO good. And check out the striped panelling down the side of the trousers too.

Today though Pam is a Chanel girl. Look at her, floating up to the show like a dream cloud of pleats and ruffles.
I LOVE the versatility here – that she can go from the cool edgy vibe of Jacquemus to severe and traditional at Dior to manic pixie dream girl on the yacht at Chanel.

From all white to all black, Dua Lipa’s Chanel look was a huge hair bow over a cape, like private school student does Star Wars, I’m into it.

The cape I’m most into though is the one on Jennie. But then again, as inconsistent as Chanel can be, Chanel + Jennie is never a flop. And that probably has more to do with Jennie than with the house, because this baby blue shoulder feather cape over the bralette and a pair of trousers that fit more casual than formal with the socks and the open-toe platforms is pure pop.

Jennie was sat next to Kylie Jenner in the front row.

Kylie in Chanel is a departure from Kylie style in general. I’ve said many times before, her style doesn’t do it for me. Did you see her fit at the SNL afterparty with Timothée Chalamet this weekend? Those f-cking pants? I call them Kardashian pants, I hate them, and pants like those are what she’s always wearing in my mind. So to see her in a pretty classic Chanel, with low-heel slingbacks, it’s a trip, and I’m not sure it suits her but I’m also not sure that it doesn’t.
By the way, we are still not in the Mathieu Blazy era of Chanel. He will not show his first collection until the fall.
