One day after j-hope was at Paris Fashion Week for the Louis Vuitton show, Jimin was one of the most high-profile, if not the most high-profile, guests at Dior.

The last time Jimin was in Paris for Dior, it resulted in a meltdown – just three months after all seven members of BTS had reunited after military service and he decided to turn up in France without a shirt on.

This time it was the opposite, Jimin was much more covered up… but no less remarkable considering the lore behind his look. The main event of the outfit was a jacket, designed by Jonathan Anderson, that was one of the key pieces of the new collection, and worn by Jimin before the presentation.

The piece is inspired by a garment housed at the V&A from the Mark Wallis Collection of “historic menswear in the United Kingdom”.

It’s giving prince, it’s giving Le Petit Prince, aka The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry which comes up a lot in BTS’s mythology – in Jimin’s case particularly in the Love Yourself album era and his video for his song “Serendipity” with all the celestial references. ARMY would have clocked this right away.

Here’s Jimin exchanging greetings with Jonathan Anderson before heading out, having dinner with j-hope before they presumably both prepared to leave for Madrid, where BTS will be resuming their tour tomorrow night.

There’s a heatwave happening in several parts of Europe right now, including Spain. Everybody be safe and stay cool tomorrow night, in body and mind, given that the Spanish football team will also be on the pitch.
