Tuesday night in LA there was a private dinner celebrating the Victoria Beckham collection at Barneys. A big deal for her. David was there to support, obviously. And Burberry’s Christopher Bailey too. The Beckhams and Burberry, seriously, I still can’t get over it. It wasn’t too long ago that they said it was too much. And now her son, Romeo, is the junior face of the line.

Victoria had a lot of friends there. Some regular – Eva Longoria and Ken Paves – and some, well, can you say that Gwyneth and Posh are “friends”? I guess so, now? Because G showed up, wearing Victoria, and agreed to have her picture taken there and since I’m such a suspicious c-nt about these things, now I’m wondering whether or not it’s a mutual exploitation situation. How can this not benefit GOOP somehow later on?

Here’s another thing that cracked me up. Rachel Zoe was one of the guests.

And she Instagrams a shot of the menu:

Burrata? French fries? Petit fours?

At that party… who is eating this?

It makes me SAD. Because for optics, it’s not like they would cut down the portions. But, f-ck, let’s be real. How much of it was actually consumed? They don’t eat like regular people. Maybe, though, they have that One Friend. The One Friend who works on cleanup because s/he never gets photographed. That One Friend would do all the eating so as not to waste. I could be that One Friend. I’m often, for my friends, the One Friend who goes around picking the roast beef fat that other people cut off and leave on their plates because for whatever reason they’re afraid of it.
