According to Yahoo Style, and I believe this source because Joe Zee is running things there now, Amal has now worked twice with Alexis Roche. Roche is John Galliano’s long-time partner. And Galliano now designs for Maison Margiela. And Roche styled Amal both times in Margiela – first for the MET Gala, her most high profile red carpet to date (aside from her wedding, which, come on, was basically an awards show) and earlier this week in Tokyo, where that dress pretended she had a camel toe.
I mean, none of this is all that surprising. As I mentioned after the MET Gala – click here for a refresher - the Anna Wintour, Oscar De La Renta, Galliano connection has been obvious for some time now. What’s new here though is that when Yahoo asked Maison Margiela about the Amal association, their publicist responded like this:
“The Maison wishes not to speak on this subject just yet.”
