I think about the Black Panther press tour a lot. Mostly, I think about how much I miss it and how much joy it brought into my life. Well, awards season is coming, and the Black Panther press tour is getting a second leg. Angela Bassett Full Story

Black Panther is a gift that has not stopped giving since February 16th, 2018. I saw it for the seventh time last weekend and it just keeps giving. Every time, I appreciate something else. The last couple times I watched Black Panther, I’ve walked out of the theatre thinking about Okoye and W’Kabi. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Here’s a question I’ve been saving up to ask you all week. It’s Friday content. And especially THIS Friday.   Do you wash your meat? This is not a euphemism for anything but I get why you would think that.  Read Full Intro

Remember in Harry Potter when Hermione founded SPEW? Well, I want to found an organization with a funny acronym and that is MOPS, the Make Okoye Proud Society. The object is to promote the kind of healthy, boss bitch living that would inspire Okoye to gaze upon one with approbation. All I’ve wanted since seeing Black Panther is to earn Okoye’s approval. Full Story

Chadwick Boseman and Lupita Nyong’o are both presenting at the Oscars on Sunday. No idea if they’re presenting together, but they’re both riding the Black Panther high—and it will be the dominant film again on Oscar weekend which, if Get Out were to pull off some kind of upset, would be serendipitous—so they both get to do that superhero strut on stage, together or separate. Full Story

Sarah saw Black Panther last night. Her first e-mail to me after her screening was, of course, about Okoye. I’ve BEEN telling y’all about Danai Gurira’s Okoye. People are going to lose their sh-t over Okoye. They are going to be demanding a standalone Okoye film. The same can be said for Letitia Wright’s Shuri or Lupita Nyong’o’s Nakia. Full Story

My day job is producing a daytime talk show. Lainey is one of the co-hosts of that show. I am our celebrity and entertainment producer so crafting segments featuring celebrities, pre-interviewing them and talking to them is my job. I do it all the time. I scream at all of you in all caps a lot and I don’t hide how much of a fan girl I am at my core but at work, I usually keep my chill (Taika Waititi was the exception Full Story

The official dress code of the Black Panther premiere was royal. The carpet was purple. Attendees were told to dress in their majestic best and my GOD, did they deliver. I don’t mean to be extra here but in a year when the people most of the world recognize as Royals (yes, the British ones) will welcome their first black Princess (or Duchess, whatever) and we’ve already seen her face her share of racist bullsh-t, a red carpet like this is radical. Full Story
