Amal and George Clooney were in Ibiza this weekend with their best friends, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber to promote Casamigos Tequila. A press release alerting media about their appearance was sent out in advance on Friday. George and Rande are taking their liquor to the world’s party capitals. Sure. They’ve been partying together for decades. It's a better strategy than what we saw from Beyoncé when she's trying to tell us to eat her vegan meals. You'll recall, Beyoncé would only speak to the NYT via email. (Click here and here for a refresher.) She wants to be an enigma. I'm all over that. But also, you can't sell anything with silence.
On Saturday night, Amal, George, Cindy, and Rande went out for dinner. Amal decided not to go with a blowout and wore her hair much wavier than we’ve ever seen it, in a really cute Stella McCartney dress. Then, on Sunday, she went gold disco for club night. You think there was foam? I would f-cking love to see George Clooney at a foam party. Instead I’m seeing pictures of him nuzzling noses with his wife with a photographer 3 feet away. Well, George Clooney knows what makes a great photo opportunity. And Casamigos needs every club in Ibiza to be ordering their brand by the boatload. This is why I’m not sure about those rumours about him running for office. Unless of course he’s using booze to raise money for a political campaign. Totally Boardwalk Empire.
