New interview with Jennifer Aniston on Goop. Disappointingly it’s not an interview between Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston for Goop. This is a straight up advertising opportunity, smartwater branded. Which is why there’s a question here about “tips for staying hydrated”. Jen’s answer:

“Carry bottles of water with you wherever you go.”

I don’t think I could have come up with that one by myself.

There’s nothing here that you haven’t heard before. Her husband comes up a lot. How they like to surprise each other when they’re working. She eats healthy. She loves yoga and exercise. And she goes on holiday a lot. Mexico gets a shout-out because obviously.

She does get opinionated about one topic though. And it offends me. When asked to name her “favourite Chinese restaurant”, Jen’s response:

“I’m not big on Chinese food.”

EXCUSE ME?

What language is this? Does anyone else speak it?

She’s not big on Szechuan green beans? Or Peking Duck? Or everything at dimsum? Or braised beef brisket with ginger and daikon over rice… WTF?!?

The only explanation I can come up with is that she obviously doesn’t know anyone who understands Chinese food, proper. Which means that her friend Gwyneth Paltrow, despite her claims otherwise, does not understand Chinese food, proper. Otherwise Jennifer Aniston would not be letting that kind of bullsh-t come out of her mouth.
