Jennifer Aniston was at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival this weekend to receive the Montecito Award. Other honorees included:
The Modern Master Award to Michael Keaton
The Outstanding Performer of the Year Award to Steve Carell
The American Riviera Award to Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette
The Cinema Vanguard Award to Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones

All of those people are nominated for an Oscar. They were honouring the actors they expected to be singled out by the Academy, including Jennifer Aniston. Which, again, reflects just how SURE it seemed… until it wasn’t.
Who, then, are the ones in the industry who aren’t buying it? And what will she have to do to convince them?
