Jimmy Fallon aired a new sketch featuring Justin Timberlake last night. I like it. Silly is always better when it's rooted in the recognisable and we've all seen scenes like this in a movie, on television, and have been embarrassingly moved by them.
Another reason why this works, and why most of JT's bits with Fallon work, is that he's not alone. Having company mutes his ME ME ME. And makes him a lot less annoying. Except, of course, when he's not alone and with a woman. And letting her eat all the blame.
Anyway, Will Ferrell also shows up here. A couple of weeks ago I suggested Will and JT as possible Oscar hosts - a pairing that wouldn't terrify the Hollywood community and at the same time please the general entry level gossip audience. Could work?
