Apparently there was a big wedding in Muskoka this weekend and all the locals thought it might be Kate Hudson. It wasn’t. Here she is in New York on Friday with Matt Bellamy.
So Muskoka didn’t happen but Venice totally will.
It was announced yesterday that Mira Nair’s The Reluctant Fundamentalist will open the Venice Film Festival. Click here to see photos of Kate shooting the movie last year. She was previously in Venice for Le Divorce with Naomi Watts and was pregnant with Ryder at the time. Before that she was at TIFF with Four Feathers in 2002. And Almost Famous in 2000. So it’s been a while since she’s worked the festival circuit. Which isn’t surprising because, well, it’s been a while since she’s been in a festival sort of film.
Kate hasn’t worked much the last couple of years. Perhaps it means she’s being more selective as she transitions from romantic comedies to action thrillers. By the way, A Little Bit Of Heaven, was released on DVD last month.
