Last month, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill were exchanging messages on Instagram and posting pictures of a giant heart shaped ring suggesting that they’re engaged. Apparently they’re not engaged. The ring is legit. But it doesn’t mean marriage.
Meek gave an interview to The Fader, with Nicki present during most of it, and clarified the situation:
"(The ring is) definitely real. But it ain't really time to get married yet. We’re still learning each other, feeling each other out."
Remember when I wrote earlier in the article about Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell-Bower that people do stupid things after great sex? See?
Not even T.I. understands this logic. Because he came by during the discussion to congratulate the two and, when told by Meek that it’s not what he – and the world – thought it was, T.I. basically said they were fools:
"You never asked her, 'Will you be my girlfriend?' But she is your girlfriend," T.I. reportedly shot back. "You may not have asked her, 'Will you marry me?' But you are engaged... I've said my part, as long as you know what’s going on."
Yeah. What he said.
