I posted about Sienna Miller and Bennett Miller back in July when they were seen at Wimbledon together. And, at the time, no major outlets had been reporting on their relationship. This weekend they were together again at the US Open. And now he's being called her "boyfriend". OK. But did everyone just miss what happened in between? Or is it that he's a director with not much of a scandal sheet so it's not as gossipy as her past hookups? Or maybe we just don't care much about Sienna's romances anymore? I mean...I do. But that flavour for Sienna definitely isn't what it used to be. And this is what she's been working for the last few years: to be taken seriously as an actor, to not have her love life be the dominant factor in her fame, to control her natural tendency to famewhore - I've seen this play out in person, her thirst was once spectacular, even at an airport food lounge.
There was a time when it would have been unimaginable to me that Sienna Miller wouldn't be on Instagram, Snapchat, etc. She may be but those accounts are not public. And she told VOGUE in 2014 that she tried Insta for a few days and it made her crazy and desperate, at once feeding and torturing her ego monster. So she quit. Or she locked it down. The point is, Sienna Miller who, about ten years ago, couldn't keep a secret and didn't seem to want to, has found a way to stay wild… but in private. I’m still having a hard time believing it.
