Just before the Independence Day long weekend, Angelina Jolie and The Weeknd were seen leaving Giorgio Baldi, not together, but around the same time. And according to the paps, they were having dinner together. That was never officially confirmed and it’s not like the restaurant came out and was like, yes, Angelina and Abel dined together at a table in the corner and shared the agnolotti but most entertainment outlets ran with it, including PEOPLE, without going so far as to say that it was a date, just that they’ve known each other a while through philanthropic work and that it was a friendly meal. 

 

But now it’s week two. And according to DeuxMoi, they were both at the same concert this weekend. Fans posted photos on social media:

As you can see, Angelina attended with two of her daughters, Zahara and Shiloh, and it was Mustafa The Poet’s private show. Mustafa is from Toronto, and I’ve posted about him and The Weeknd before – most recently last October when Mustafa challenged both The Weeknd and Drake, Toronto’s two global superstars, to donate to organisations helping with legal fees for protestors. This is relevant because… well… Toronto. 

 

Given Abel’s connection to Mustafa, it’s not unreasonable to assume that the recommendation came from him to Angelina, that Angelina didn’t show up by accident and oh, hi, Abel, you’re here too? That doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s romantic between them, but it’s another small piece of information that might start adding up IF they really are a thing. 

For now… it’s two weeks in a row. Two intriguing weeks in a row.
