Jennifer Lawrence’s new hair care line has been getting some criticism from beauty influencers and positive press from traditional media. OK, very hot take here that might get me in trouble but I think a lot of the Instagram and TikTok beauty influencers are salty because they haven’t been sent free product. It’s pretty standard that when a line launches, media packages are sent out and in turn, influencers do the unboxing videos and reviews.

From what I can tell, so far, Mes° hasn’t sent anything to influencers or even other celebrities.

Amy Schumer has such a specific divorced energy on Instagram, like the Stories about doing the school run in pyjamas.  This is the classic celebrity attempt at “realness” (Oh my god, look how messy I am!) that ironically comes off as more attention-seeking than curated posts. Amy tags it #ootd which is supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek poke at influencers but the vibe is a bit obnoxious. You can’t post seeking validation while being snarky about other people who do the same.

Robert Downey Jr. has joined Specs as Chief Customer Experience Officer. This is a “smart” optical company, founded by Snapchat’s Evan Spiegel (who is married to Miranda Kerr). If they gave him a title and a role, RDJ probably got some equity, which means he is very motivated to make this company a success. Obviously it’s crucial to his financial health, he’s only made hundreds of millions from Marvel. How will he ever survive.

Like Lainey, I am puzzled by the Airbnb gala. Gala…for what? I don’t know! And the celebs didn’t just attend, they are so enthusiastic about it. Did Airbnb work with an agency or a specific PR firm? I’m so curious how they attracted such a robust guest list.

I really didn’t know Lisa Rinna was supposed to be Kylie Jenner, I had to read the caption. Do I need more coffee or is not that obvious? I guess with the double-orange, maybe?

Lily Allen dressed up as “blue dot fever” (a term used to describe struggling ticket sales). She’s getting a bit of heat in the comments but sorry this is funny.
