The big event in Hollywood last night was the premiere for Jeymes Samuel’s The Harder They Fall, co-produced by Jay-Z. Jay and the team were in the UK last week for the London premiere, with Beyoncé who did her invisibility trick, somehow posing on the red carpet there for her own photographers but not shot by anyone else, which she then shared on her Instagram.
Shortly after The Harder They Fall event last night, Beyoncé posted to Instagram – and at first I thought she’d done it again, that she skipped the carpet with everyone else, including her mother, Miss Tina, and her best friend, Kelly Rowland, but managed to do her usual. But when you flip through the carousel, it’s clear that these pictures were not taken in LA. This is Harry’s Bar in London.
Beyoncé was there though. Or at least she was at the after-party. And it’s been hours since everything wrapped and people have gone home but guess what? No shots of her. Haven’t seen a single one. And there were several media members in attendance taking video from the party – but everyone knows better by now. You will not point your phone anywhere in her direction.
While Beyoncé’s presence at the event remains undocumented, everybody else was on camera and she, naturally, came up in conversation. Miss Tina was asked about the possibility of both Carters being nominated for Oscars for their songs on The Harder They Fall and King Richard respectively:
Tina Knowles-Lawson weighs in on the possible #Oscars history Beyoncé and Jay-Z could make if they are both nominated in the best original song category: "They've been making music that should've gotten Oscars for a long time." https://t.co/Zjvco9TDNg pic.twitter.com/zSu8xI4ZIu

I mean, if the Academy can get Beyoncé to attend the Oscars…
We have a couple of months yet to discuss that possibility. For now let’s focus on the other celebrities who were at the premiere because there were so many good looks!
Here’s Kelly with what I call boudoir hair or Brigitte Bardot hair in a red feather dress with leather accessories. Always been curious about wearing rings over gloves because it’s a commitment to be wearing the gloves the whole time. Otherwise you risk losing the ring:

Regina King, not surprisingly, looked unreal in a high collar dress with a chest gap and bell sleeves but the main feature here is… LEGS. All leg. Glorious legs.

Staying with the leg theme, check out Karrueche Tran in black and white and asymmetric and it’s half a blazer on one side and pieces of a shift dress on the other and I LOVE the imagination happening here with this outfit, it’s so good.

My favourite though is Teyana Taylor in a yellow bomber, with a pair of excellent black pants over sneakers:

And THESE GLASSES:

Now…you know…with all these entertainers in attendance, there’s no way there wasn’t an after-party that then turned into an informal concert. Tiffany Haddish got up on stage to jam with Jeymes aka The Bullitts and Jay eventually joined and you can follow Kyle Buchanan’s Twitter thread below to see those videos of almost everyone …but not the Queen.
