Practical Magic 2 but no Lee Pace

Following the London premiere of Practical Magic 2, there was a photocall. Stockard Channing, making her first appearances in two years, opted for green and a rad chain necklace:

As Lainey said, the joy of this film is getting three generations of Owens women at once, and they all showed up for the photocall, though Maisie Williams’ look isn’t as good as her red dress at the premiere.

I do, however, love the vibe of Joey King and Maisie Williams, who play the new generation of Owens sisters.

Xolo Maridueña showed up in an embroidered brown suit. He plays the potentially doomed love interest of Joey King’s character. Also, in other Xolo news, he is reprising his role as Blue Beetle in Man of Tomorrow. I’m glad he got to keep the role, he was good in Blue Beetle, but the film was not great and knee-capped by the power transfer between the old and new DC Universe.

Early buzz on the film is that it is enjoyable, but it is opening in the middle of the TIFF/Venice festival crossover, when most of the film press is distracted and reviews can be more sporadic for regular theatrical releases. That is never a good sign. I’m cramming in the screening right before I leave for Toronto, though, because I am too curious to wait till after the festival.

Also, no Lee Pace on the press trail so far, don’t think I didn’t notice that. I DID. I NOTICED.
