Bradley Cooper looking unfortunately hot in Monaco
We talked about Lewis Hamilton and his tough loss at the Dutch Grand Prix earlier, now let’s turn our eyes to fake motorsports. Bradley Cooper is on set in Monaco, filming racing scenes for the Ocean’s 11 prequel. Remember, he plays Danny Ocean’s father, and the film is set in the 1960s. I don’t go much for motorsports, but ah, 1960s era racing, that is a sexy setting for film. The cars are just so cinematic, which you can see in some of these photos.
Also, I must admit it, but BCoop done up as Danny Ocean’s dad is looking unfortunately hot. I hate myself a little, but the longer hair, the fake tan, the athletic but not overly bulked physique, the stubble, ugh. I regret to inform myself that this is working for me. It reminds me of 2000s era BCoop, when he was making a lot of comedies. I’ve missed that version of BCoop as he’s been chasing Oscars, it’s nice to see him back, even if it is proof I have a type and it is “stylish scumbag”.
Also also, you can clearly see BCoop wearing a ring on that conspicuous finger:

Still no confirmation on if he and Gigi Hadid really did get married, or if they’re just sporting like…commitment rings. Marriage? That’s so passe darling, we exchanged rings in a promise ceremony with just the two of us and our majordomo Charles. Yes, Sharles, the French way, darling. It is so chic of us, really, who needs a legal contract when you can make wishes upon stars? No, the promise ceremony was chic, darling, not Charles. Don’t be uncouth.
What else happened today…
Revisit the millennial horror show of style (“style”) at MTV’s TRL. I know the youths are nostalgic for this era, but can we PLEASE just leave these clothes in the past? This was a bad style era! (Go Fug Yourself)
Once again, former child actors are calling for better protections for child actors following the death of a former child actor. Melissa Gilbert and Anna Paquin have both spoken up following Hayden Panettiere’s untimely death. I really do think we just shouldn’t have kids acting in commercial entertainment. I don’t fully know how that would work, because some stories need children, but we should just figure it out. Obviously, Hollywood is not a safe or healthy place for children. We know this, we just never do anything about it. (Pajiba)
Boris Johnson thinks the Sussexes should be brought back as full working royals when they return the UK. He points out that the “Big Six” strategy no longer work because Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip have passed away, so Harry & Meghan can step up and form a new “Big Six” with Charles and Camilla and William and Kate. It makes sense from a publicity standpoint, which is why it won’t happen. These people will die on the hills of their pride before making a sound publicity decision. (Celebitchy)
Let’s make it a full, car-themed day, with a story about the Lemons Rally, the 24-hour auto endurance race for crappy cars. Inspired by the legendary endurance race the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Lemons Rally celebrated its twentieth year with sh-t cars trooping through a multi-state scavenger hunt in themed cars with categories like “Rust Belt American Junk: Other” and “Kommunist Kars”. People dress up, the themes are serious, and bribes are encouraged and included in scoring. Gosh, this sounds FUN. The spirit of auto racing is alive! (Atlas Obscura)
