Dear Gossips,

BTS performed the final of three shows in Tampa last night to kick off the North American leg of their ARIRANG world tour. It has been estimated that 190,000 fans attended the Tampa concerts, with initial projections from local outlets that the economic impact to the city would be upwards of $800 million. That is a crazy ass number for one city. And there are now other cities waiting their turn.

Like El Paso, Texas, which is the next stop on the tour, where RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Look will play two shows this weekend – and the city has already given them an honour with the Estimado Amigo award to express gratitude for raising the profile of the city, increasing tourism, and community goodwill, reflected in part by the social efforts of BTS’s fans who often participate in philanthropic efforts wherever they are as a reflection of the band’s values.

I still have three months to go before I see them for the first time in Europe in July…and we’re just not going to think about the flight and fuel situation! The point I’m trying to make is related to energy though, just not the kind that powers airplanes – but their energy, because they have been cranked up to max. And it’s not like they don’t always give it everything when they’re out there, it’s the joy, the pure euphoria of being back on stage, together, all seven of them, with ARMY, of course, who know every word, who are paying attention to everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.

This is what I was living for last night…

BTS on Hot Ones was always going to be hilarious and silly and rewatchable and bring in big numbers. There are so many highlights from their appearance, one of them being Jimin and JK shouting “come on, wing!” over and over again. It turns out, several of their reactions on Hot Ones came from the most unlikely inspiration: Steve Harvey… WTF LOL FOREVER.

First of all, I don’t how ARMY pieced this together – and it would appear that they are Korean, given the captions on that video. Second, what is the Jimin-Jung Kook algorithm that would serve them videos of Steve Harvey eating, that THEY HAVE MEMORISED and now performed on Hot Ones?! You want a f-cking Easter egg? BTS will give you the Easter egg of all Easter eggs, random AF, with no other purpose, apparently, because it’s not like this is leading to a song or an album, no, it’s nothing, it’s just nonsense and foolery for their own private LOLs until, you know, inevitably ARMY figured it out.
