I’m 100% on board with Lainey’s theory that Bennifer is waiting out the interest on their split. When they finally do announce, the reaction will be “Oh, I thought they split up months ago”, and everyone moves on. But the stories are getting a little desperate, like this one on Ben’s new house that “could easily be turned into a bachelor pad.” It’s 5 bedrooms and Ben Affleck has three children and is 51. He’ll be fine! No one is worrying about Ben Affleck’s bachelor pad.
It’s not a studio apartment above Matt Damon’s garage.
The tradwives versusThe Times is happening, and it’s times like these I wish we could speed up the news cycle. Tradwives as they are portrayed on social media are a fraud: you know, I know it, and they know it, but everyone has to pretend they don’t, lest they be branded an Instagram comment section “bad feminist.” It’s like when the Duggars were popular. Did anyone NOT think the Duggar parents were absolute weirdos through and through? Of course not, but we had to go through the whole charade. And now the exposes and the “who knew this community that doesn’t give a woman enough time to heal before pumping out another baby!” has some dark shit going on. Not to sound like a sidekick from a 1980s sitcom but DUH. There’s also the practicality of it: a person living a homestead life, with multiple children, does not have time to film and edit this much content with no help! But I can’t wait to see Anne Hathaway’s take on it.

Carrie Underwood is a new judge on American Idol and overall, particularly as she came from that show, this makes a lot of sense. It’s just so muted now— a new judge used to be huge news. I think part of the reason is that The Voice has had so many judges and guests judges, it’s really hard to get that wow factor.
Remember when Mariah Carey was a judge? That was a story.
Here’s Mimi backstage with Olivia Rodrigo and I am not at all surprised to see the twins with her. And her caption? Obsessed! That’s a high compliment.
Broadway is still recovering from the pandemic, with overall attendance down. I imagine this will help: Keanu Reeves (!!!) and Alex Winter (!!!) are reuniting on stage in Waiting for Godot. I mean, COME ON. Chef’s kiss perfection.
